Still recovering from PortCon, in Portland Maine; it’s the smallest convention I’ve been to yet, as I think even World Steam Expo (where I attended in 2010-2011) was a bit larger.
I presented on Kitsune and Tanuki: this is version 2.0, as I revised and doubled it since my debut of it at Anime Boston 2013. The attendees were rather nice, and I talked to some of the staff as well.
I also stopped in the “True Love Hurts” panel (that my friend Haru does) – if you ever get the chance to see this, it’s hilarious. It’s for over-18s and about yandere characters, but amazing.
That being said, there were plenty of things to do at the convention: I traded dice so I could finally get enough for a game of Don’t Rest Your Head, I became a mallrat at the Maine Mall, and had the best fried haddock I’ve ever had this side of the Atlantic.
Conclusion: If you are from New England, or simply want to visit Portland in Maine, give it a go.
